'prekeh'

PREKEH has three meanings:
1. To be a fool.
2. A good for nothing.
3. To describe (or as an expression for) a surprising or upsetting occurrence.

For example: "Wat a prekeh!"

Joke of the week

A very boastful man from a small community made it his duty to brag about his may blessings; one of the largest homes, a fairly new vehicle to drive and a daughter who took care of him very well by sending the usual foreign exchange and barrels of brand name clothing every holiday.
Knowing she was coming to Jamaica for a visit, he threw out his flashlight phone and reminded her that communication would be better between them if he had a smartphone, but really he wanted one because smartphones, according to him, tell you everything.
The night she came, he put his phone to charge so he could have it at his morning church service to brag to his fellow church brothers and sisters. When he woke up in the morning, the phone said NO SERVICE and the man, being disappointed, hissed his teeth and shouted, "Lawddddd, mi dawta, church nah keep!"

Scenario:
You are having a BB conversation with your crush who, unexpectedly, puts up a picture of his/her significant other. Your first action is to message your best friend and make a comment about it, but then you realise you did not switch the conversation window. What do you do?

Asa Bignall: I'd take the step to just declare my feelings for her. From my perspective, she is going to pick up that I like her, so why be shy about it anymore? What more would I have to lose?

Lindsey Tracey: Pretend a sibling took my phone and, as a prank, decided to message all my BlackBerry messenger friends (LOL).

Jason Shann: Well, seeing as it would be cowardly to retract anything I accidentally would have said to her, I would just go all out and tell her what's on my mind. I would also explain that I had not intended to message her and just be prepared to answer any questions regarding any statement I made about her or her significant other.
