Quote of the week
"The art is not in making money, but in keeping it." ~Anonymous
Joke of the week
A company, feeling it was time for a shake-up, hired a new personnel manager, one that was determined to rid the company of all slackers.
On a tour of the facilities, the new personnel manager noticed a young man leaning on a wall. The room is full of workers and he wants to let them know he means business!
The personnel manager walks up to the guy and asks, "And how much money do you make a week?" Undaunted, the young fellow looks at him and replies, "I make $3,000 a week. Why?"
So feeling very confident, the personnel manager hands the young man $3,000 in cash and screams, "Here's a week's pay, now GET OUT and don't come back!"
Feeling pretty good about his first firing, the personnel manager looks around the room and asks, "Does anyone want to tell me what that goof-off did here?"
With a sheepish grin, one of the other workers muttered, "He's just the lunch delivery man from a restaurant we order from."
BB phone care tip
Do not keep your Blackberry device in your pockets as this practice will put it your phone at risk of damage. Apart from forgetting that it is on your pocket and sitting on it accidentally; this results in the gradual deterioration of your housing and screens which leads to exposure of delicate Blackberry electronic parts that control signal, keyboard and the speaker problems. Instead, purchase a holster (not a skin) that you can attach safely to your pocket or belt and protect it inside your bag.
BB poll of the week
Have you ever heard the term, 'every mickle mek a muckle'? Is this true for our Jamaican currency, in particular the 'red money'? Well, the Youthlink sent out our weekly broadcast this time asking, 'What do you do when you receive 'red money' i.e. 25 and 10 cent coins?'
(A) Save them 32.73%
(B) Throw them away 50.9%
(C) Give them to a beggar 9.1%
(D) Spend them 7.27%
Out of 110 responses the percentages of answers demonstrated that many of us don't see the value of the red money while other readers expressed that sometimes stores do not give you your change if it's just red money. We recommend that persons demand their coins and try saving them.
Picture of the week
It's not often we see a three-year-old boy with the skills of Ray J; who loves to show off his strength as he walks on his toes. We caught this little one at the National Stadium showing off to a few friends.
