Where do you see youthlink in a couple of years?

I've been writing for the paper for a couple years now and it's always been our focus as a team to cater to the interests of our target demographic. When we were just starting out, it was a matter of us trying to fill the paper with stories that, based on our own interests, we thought would interest others. This led to our sections on sexology, religion, automotives, fashion, technology, etc. After receiving feedback (both positive and negative) from our readers, we became more in tune to what it was that they wanted out of Jamaica's number-one teen magazine. It's a continuous struggle trying to ensure that we provide a rounded product in which everyone (even adults) can find something that intrigues him/her, but we constantly evaluate our work to make sure we're on the right path.

In terms of the future, I see the paper improving on the variety of topics that we're able to cover and the depth with which we present our pieces. This will involve reviving some fan favourites that have been on a hiatus, as well as including new columns to cater to those who feel their interests are not being promoted enough. What our readers should look forward to the most, however, is more interaction with the product and its writers. Within the coming months we hope to achieve a sustained relationship with our readers outside of them merely reading our pieces.
