Super sweet sixteen
Mathue Duhaney,Youthlink Writer

MTV missed this! Ashley Grant's sweet 16 may just have been the most super sweet 16 we have experienced this year. The star for the night Ashley, alighted from a limousine and made her way down the red carpet. her grand entrance meant the real start of the party, as her entrance was followed by the entrance of several well-known artistes to serenaded the birthday girl. All strings were pulled for this party and we would like to congratulate the party planner and Ashley for having such a wonderful party.

Venue - 8.5/10

The venue was 19 Grosvenor Terrace, a popular party venue which was conveniently decorated to the theme of the party. A red carpet was present with life-size Oscars on each side. The 'party' area was secluded and had both an adult and a young adult section. A lounge area was present, much to the pleasure of those who thoroughly used the dance floor. All in all, the entire venue was nicely decorated and the setting was a comfortable and suitable one.

Music - 9.5/10

The young DJ Shatta (Jaime Wong) was imported from Florida specially for Ashley's party and all we, the crew, would like to say is watch out because this 14-year-old is simply gifted. He played tracks back to back, which kept many on the dance floor as if in a trance. Artistes and groups like Voicemail, A2O, Nicky B and D'Angel were also present to serenade Ashley on her special day.

Food and drink - 9/10

With two bars and two buffet tables, what is there to say, but hungry bellies were left full and parched peeps left quenched.

Vibe-9/10

DJ Shatta, guest artistes and various dancers excited, the food and drink energised, and the setting facilitated. To sum it up, the party was filled with fun and excitement and a very positive vibe.

Overall-9/10
