One girl, two looks
Dayna Raynor,Youthlink Writer

Be ready for any occasion and present your best in any situation. By following these simple tips, learn how to dress up and dress down from head to toe.

Today's fashion

How to dress

Tips: Short shorts, inspired by Daisy Dukes, have definitely found their way back into this century and are now as sophisticated as ever. Plaid pink and grey shorts topped with a frilled white blouse are perfect for giving a girly and classy look.

How to look

Tips: Bright colours pop against solid ones such as grey and white. Play up your make-up by adding brighter eyeshadow colours such as pink, green, yellow or blue. Coloured glosses can also work to complement your outfit.

How to accessorise

Tips: Use your accessories to highlight your colour theme. Wearing pink accessories such as jewellery and pumps adds a burst of flavour to your ensemble.

Unusual looks how to dress

Tips: The colour collaboration of this outfit is absolute genius. I like to define the concept as 'goth meets diva'. The turtle-neck is definitely not something we see every day in Jamaica, hence you are sure to make a statement. Do not add clinching belts but allow the outfit to flow freely and show off the colourful patterns.

How to look

Tips: Dramatically darkening eyes using black eyeshadow at the tip of the eyelids and allowing it to fade into an ashy colour is sure to complete the 'diva-goth' look.

Darkening lips using dark-red lipstick adds to the high fashion and strange look of the outfit.

To go the extra mile, cut your hair into a classic straight bang, which will complete the dark, diva look.

How to accessorise

Tips: Complete your look with red, knee-length boots; they are sizzling in this outfit and add to the colour contrasting effect.
