Poems
If You Think
by Amoy Lewis
If you think you're beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don't
If you'd like to win, but think you can't
it's almost for sure you won't.
If you think you're losing, you're lost
For out in the world we find
success begins with a person's will.
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you're outclassed, you are
You're going to think high, to rise
you have to stay with it, in order to win
The prize life's battle doesn't always
go to the one with the better plan
For more often than not, you will win if only you think you can
Learning
by Latoya Cunningham
The colour of my hair said black is beauty
The colour of my eyes said love and unity
The sound waves that I listen with my ears said positive impact
My words that I say said it's okay
The love in my heart said you are a part of something good.
Poem
by Rushelle Robinson
May the dreams we all hold dearest
be the ones which come true
May the kindness that we spread
Keep returning back to you
May your troubles be less and your blessings which you are about to receive be more and nothing but happiness come through your door.
