St.
Hugh's and Queen's give a
double dose of praise
Sean
A. Bennett,Youthlink Writer
Youthlink
had to pull double duty when we were invited
to two Inter-schools' Christian Fellowship
(ISCF) concerts on Friday, February 29,
and with both beginning at the same time,
it was going to be one hectic afternoon.
The
first stop was at St. Hugh's High. When
we arrived at 3:00 pm, the praise was fully
evident as the ladies sang a host of choruses
with moving ministries from Wolmer's Girls'
High, Convent of Mercy (Alpha), St Hugh's,
Kevin Downswell, Sons of the Prophet, DJ
Ordinary and Shepherd.
But
it was Ryan Mark's entrance that received
the Most thunderous applause. He did songs
such as Alpha,
Omega and
Tell Him No, which sent the ladies
into a frenzy. Next up was Queen's and with
their ISCF theme being Warfare Time: Taking
back what is rightfully ours, they meant
business!
Praise
in the rain
Even
during the heavy rains, the ladies rocked,
jumped and skipped to amazing ministries
from Omari, who ministered with Tell
Me A Who,
So Jah Sey and
Help; Jason Mighty who wanted
to "ketch a fire" because he "can't
walk this life alone"; and DJ Nicholas,
who performed Turning
Around and
Back to the Owna. Other ministries
came from upcoming gospel artiste J. Cee,
and Jermaine Edwards, who did Your
Love. And after three solid hours
of magnificent praise and stirring worship
form ladies of both St Hugh's High, and
The Queen's School we were indeed truly
blessed. Check out these pics!
