'Talk Up Yout' TV show back for Season 5

The hit TV show 'Talk Up Yout' is back for its fifth season on TVJ. Sponsored by the socially conscious National Baking Company for over five years and produced by Stanley & Empress Productions, 'Talk Up Yout' welcomes its newest partner, CranWATA.

BRAND NEW LOOK and FEEL

On the new season of 'Talk Up Yout', each episode will have a panel of six Jamaican youths giving their take on an issue and offering insightful solutions that have the power to revolutionise the way we solve problems on a national scale, since the adolescent voice is largely missing from decision-making and policy development in Jamaica. 'Talk Up Yout', established in 2011, has been able to fill the void, thanks to the many youth and parents who religiously tune in to each episode.

"As we celebrate our fifth year, we believe it's important for the show and brand to progress and, hence, we created a brand new look and feel. We changed the format from personal stories to a panel-style discussion to which more youth can relate.

"After a casting of over a hundred young people, we chose the topics from the issues they said affected them the most, like brain drain, gender stereotypes and proper parenting - making the show for youth, by the youth. I've worked in this industry for over a decade producing shows for top-notch companies in LA, NY and Jamaica. This is, by far, my best one yet!" said Nadia Stanley, co-executive producer.

According to Emprezz Golding, creator and co-executive producer, "We encourage all Jamaicans to join us in this meaningful engagement and to participate to encourage our young people to find their power with their voices. Let us listen to and act on their solutions to create a better environment for the social, educational and developmental needs of our children and, by extension, this nation."

"Talk Up Yout celebrates five years this year. I can barely believe it. It's important that you understand the need to give back. I believe especially in our society, in this part of our country's life, it's important that those of us who CAN, DO, and those of us who can with both time and money do so and if you can just do time, volunteer, it's a wonderful thing," said Butch Hendrickson at the National Baking Company Foundation launch; they are the main sponsor.

Talk Up Yout Season 5 premieredon September 9 on TVJ.
